2 Extra Days!!!!

So Sunday afternoon I received a text from my boss saying they were giving us Monday and Tuesday off as well. There is nothing better than that! But what was I going to do with myself. PLAY of course! On Monday Breken's cousin and best friend, jack, came over. We made homemade play dough and watched Ironman. The play dough was easy.
2 cups flour
2 cups water
1 cup salt
cook on the stove until right consistency and add color.
done!

On Tuesday we went to Jump'N Bounce with our friends, Sam, Eliza aka Bug, and Tucker. We had so much fun! I couldn't get Breken to stay still long enough to get a decent picture. And I was having too much fun jumping to even want to take pictures. This was the perfect thing for us to do on a a snowy spring day.

Happy Easter

Easter was so much fun! We had a blast dying eggs, making sugar cookies and finding out where the Easter bunny hid all the eggs, and the baskets of course. The Easter bunny hit the nail on the head, and brought Breken everything Marvel Comic Book related. HE WAS THRILLED! He had a fun easter egg hunt at grandma and grandpa's, and ate nothing but candy. It was a fun filled weekend. I hope everybody enjoyed their Easter weekend!

The Hamilton Cousins!
On the top we have: Serius, Serepta, Breken and Jack.
On the bottom we have the 4 sisters: Baby Belle, Adrianne, Ivie, and Lila

My new......old toy

I've taken up sewing recently. Nothing major, just a few projects here and there. I had mentioned this to my grandma, and she said that she had a sewing machine that she had used maybe twice. She said it's doing nothing but taking up space.Well long story short, she said "come pick it up." So I did.
It is AMAZING! It still has everything that is came with the day she bought it. Even the 25 year warranty. In the picture below you can see the date of purchase, Sept. 19, 1956. I love this machine. It works like a charm. They just don't make things like they used to. However, that being said, I don't know if I will use it much, it is just too precious. It has all the bells and all the whistles, it still has the thread she was using last, and on wooden spools of all things. It is just too cool. I do want to know how to thread it and where to put the oil, so I found an old sewing repair shop in murray that is willing to help me. I'll keep you posted!

Camping Anyone?

About 2 years ago when Lee got into his nursing program he asked if I would get him a motorcycle once he graduated. Apparently I said yes.( I don't remember that) Well graduation is just a few short weeks away and the topic came up again. Except this time, he thought that we, as a family, would enjoy a trailer more. Of course I agreed! We were on the hunt, and leave it to lee to find the diamond in the rough. We got an amazing deal on a tent trailer, and I can't tell you how excited we are. Lee has been going 6 days a week for almost 2 years now, and it is time to enjoy the summer as a family. Breken loves the outdoors as much as lee and I do and we look forward to upcoming adventures. Lee needs a break, and let me tell you, SO DO I! Now bring on the sun!

What a weekend-

My weekend project!
I needed something above Breken's bed. This project took me longer than I anticipated, however it only cost me $3.27. I had all the spare wood at home, and all I bought was some sample paint from Home Depot. The letters are made out of sticks I found in the yard, and a lot of hot glue.

Breken's favorite place to watch movies. I loved having little
cubby places like this when I was little.
Aw man. We went to my cousin's baby blessing on Sunday, Breken didn't take a nap before we went and you can imagine how worried I was about going to church with him. Well, he was a perfect little angel to my surprise, but crashed the second we got home. This was too funny not to post.

Sidewalk Chalk Anyone?

About 2 weeks ago we made homemade sidewalk chalk. Luckily we got a break in the weather on Friday and had a chance to pull it out and use it. It was so easy to make, and Breken and I had a blast. All you need is plaster of paris, tempera paint, an empty toilet paper roll, duct tape, and wax paper. Give it a try!
