Merry Christmas

I hope everybody enjoyed their Christmas. We had a fantastic Christmas. Breken is at the age where he gets excited about opening presents, but I don't think he fully grasps the concept. He does however know that Santa brings gifts, and that Santa Claus is coming. I will post a few more pictures later this week.
We, like many others, open Pj's Christmas eve. I had to make sure we did this in another room, because I was worried that he would want to open up EVERY present. And that's exactly what happened on Christmas morning. He just wanted to open up everything. It was a BLAST!

Merry Christmas

Breken doesn't look too happy, but I can assure you he was talking Santa's ear off. This happened to be the only time we could get him to look up at us long enough to take the picture. I absolutely love the holidays and going to Santa is part of that! Santa Claus at south towne mall is the real deal, he is awesome, this is Breken's third Christmas picture there and it gets better and better! Happy Holidays!

A hunters wife

For those of you that don't know, Lee is an avid bow hunter. He looks forward to it every year. So for all those wives out there that knows what it's like to not see your husband during hunting season, I feel for ya! So when Lee went out on his first day and shot a deer I was THRILLED! That means more family time for us. Lee likes to built his own mounts for his deer and that's what you see below. Him hard at work.

The finished product
His deer two years earlier.

What a weekend it was. It was absolutely beautiful! It was a fun filled sports weekend. It all started with the much anticipated U of U game against TCU. Now come on folks, we knew that we probably weren't going to win this game, but to get smacked around????? That's ok, we'll come back. That same night Lee and I went to the jazz game, that was a whole new story. 1 min to go and we're up by 7, so like always lee and I get up to leave to beat the traffic. When we get home and turn on the news.....SHOCKER!! the game went into a double over time. WHY DID WE LEAVE??? Oh well we still had a blast.

I had scheduled family pictures to be taken on Sunday. I was really lucky that the weather was looking good in our favor. Well the night before I get a message saying that our photographer can no longer take our pictures....What do mean? We planned this months ago, and now look at the weather it's snowing. So what did we do? Lee and I took our own pictures. There not as good, but as soon as I sort through them I will post them for all of you to see. I hope everyone enjoyed the beautiful fall weekend.

Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween Everybody!!
We had a great weekend. Depending on the day Breken was either Bam Bam or Batman. On Halloween night he chose Bam Bam. My favorite part of Halloween is carving pumpkins. This year Breken was old enough to help out a bit. I hope he learns to love it as much as I do. Last weekend I had Lee's family over and on Halloween night we had my family over. Nothing big just our traditional potato cheese soup and a scary movie. I hope everyone enjoyed their Halloween as much as we did.

Halloween Party!

We had a fun little Halloween party on Saturday for Breken and all of his cousins. It was so much fun. Breken is Bam Bam and I was Wilma. We had witches brew (root beer) Goblin pie(pizza) and bones (bread sticks) not to mention the caramel apples and candy of course! All the kids did a little scavenger hunt around the house, and in the end they found a treasure full of monster hands, candy, and a Halloween movie. They all chose to watch it in Brekens room. The adults didn't mind, it gave us a little time to catch up. And that's what happened this weekend!

Lagoon

We took Breken to lagoon last Friday for the first time. This is the first time that Lee and I have been back in 5 years. We had so much fun! Breken loved the rides. I was a little worried that I wouldn't be able to get him off the ride. I wasn't sure if he would understand that he needs to get off and get back in line if he wanted to ride it again. But he did great! It was soooo busy, and some of those kiddie rides had a 30-40 min wait, but he didn't mind at all! His 2 favorite rides were the cars and the boats. He wasn't a fan of the haunted house, he wouldn't let me go. ha ha! Maybe next year he will be. The weather was perfect, I couldn't have asked for a better day. I want to go back right now :)

The Pumpkin Patch

Well I usually like to get to the pumpkin patch a little bit earlier than I did this year. By the time we got to the one I love, the pumpkins were a little over picked. Non the less we found a few good ones, and Breken had a blast in the corn maze. I love this time of the year!!

PaisleyDoor.com

December of last year we closed our doors to the mortgage lending business and have since been developing a new website. I am so excited to say that it has been launched. Paisleydoor.com is a real estate website. Where you can list you home for sale. Browse for homes that are for sale. And all the educational tips you need to help you sell you home, with or without a real estate agent.
I am part of a production team, that puts together helpful videos on how to prepare and sell your home. We call these paisley pointers, and they can be found in the what's new section. We have a blast making them. So check out the new website, We are a very proud of it.

Hello Again

It has almost been exactly 1 year since my last blog post. Considering the amount of threats I have received for not updating it, I am now going to try and stick with it. So much has happened in the last year. And can I just say that I am looking forward to next year, because this year has not been so great. Don't get me wrong we had a lot of ups, but the downs outweighed it for sure!

As most of you know, Lee got accepted into a nursing program and he started that in January. He is doing an incredible job, and is currently in his Maternal clinical rotation. Can I just say that he was NOT looking forward to this rotation. But come to find out, he actually enjoys it some what. I quote : " It's nice to help someone that actually wants to be in the hospital." He's learning a lot and will graduate in late spring. And where he decides to go from there for his graduate program I will let you know.
When we found out that the program was 5 days a week all day long there was a little panic moment. So we knew what we had to do. We had to say goodbye to our home. As you all know the housing market SUCKS! so we did a lease to own.

Well.........She bailed on the contract and we moved back in to our home in July. To find nothing but a dead yard, weeds as tall as my hip, holes in the wall, and my garage converted into a bedroom. The good news is that we are home where we belong and with much time and effort the house is back to normal.

Breken turned 2 in July. And because if his obsession with BIG TRUCKS we got him a truck that he could drive around the yard. However he had no idea how to work the thing until 3 weeks ago. But he loves now.

No more diapers!!! Breken was fully potty trained a few months ago. And I LOVE it!(I'm sure his teachers at school love it too) I was not looking forward to the whole potty training thing. But it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.
