We went to the pumpkin patch on Monday! Breken had a great time, and picked out a perfect pumpkin.

Well we did! Last weekend we completed the half marathon. 13.1 miles! Lee did great he finished in 2:13 he came in 2nd place. I, on the other hand, finished in over 3 hours. But in my defense I was pushing and holding a 1 year old the whole time. It was a lot of fun and I hope to beat that time one day. Maybe next spring.

Half Marathon
I know I know....
I know I know, I am really bad at this whole blog thing. So much has happened. Breken started walking a few months back, and he is just a talkin' away. He has had his first birthday, we went to wheeler farm, and we have been eating a lot of ice cream (pictures posted below) We have moved and are now living in Herriman. Southern Nevada has opened up there South Jordan Campus so Lee can stay home and we can be together. No more moving to Nevada (sorry Bug). We got our yearly family pictures taken and my good friend Mallory did such a great job.
Well that's the last 4 months in a nutshell. :)

Tepinyake
Breken is starting to feel so much better. He has a couple of teeth coming in and they are going to be the death of me. But I think we're almost done with the next two that are coming in. Last night Breken had his first experience at Tepinyake. He loved the fact that grown ups also bang pots and pans together. He thought it was pretty funny. Not to mention the HOT FIRE! That was amazing :) It is so fun to watch him grow and learn, I could watch him explore new things all day long.
Breken currently has 4 teeth two bottom and two top. The newest discovery is watching him bite everything he puts into his mouth. He's like a little mouse and just nibbles on everything.

Surgery Day
My baby boy was so brave today. He got tubes in his ears. I was instructed to not give him anything to eat or drink after midnight last night. I was terrified for the tantrum this morning. But... He didn't make a peep he was not mad that I didn't give him his morning bottle and he didn't act that hungry either I was so proud of him.
So they took us back into a small room and I had to put the tiny little gown on him. It was so cute. The poor little guy had no idea what was going on. And of course like all doctor and hospital visits we waited and waited. When up came an older gentleman he introduced himself and said hand him over. That was so hard. I was not allowed to go back with him to put him to sleep. So I handed over my precious child to the strange man, and again walked into the waiting room. 20 min later I could hear him screaming down the hall. There is nothing worse than hearing your child scream and not being able to do anything about it. The nurse explained to me that all babies wake up crying, they're in an unfamiliar place and they are a little traumatized. I had never heard him cry the way he was crying, it broke my heart into a million pieces.
After a big bottle, some pain medication and and hour and half of crying, I rocked him to sleep. He is going to have a rough day. But all went well and we are both going to try and get some rest.

Where do I begin. Thursday morning at 3 a.m. Breken wakes up ( this is not a normal thing for him) When I went in to see what was wrong I realized that tooth number 3 and tooth number 4 had popped through. I gave him some Tylenol
( mommy's cure) and we both went back to bed. I took him to school that morning and gave them some orajel and told them the situation. But I had this horrible feeling, like something else was wrong. About two hours into the work day I get a call from his teacher saying, " We think Breken is sick" So I immediately picked him up and took him to the doctor. Sure enough he had the stomach flu and a double ear infection for the 5th time. His doctor recommend I make an appointment with an ENT as soon as possible. They got me in today ( Friday at 11:00) and said that he will need to have a small surgery to put tubes in his ears. So...... Tuesday is they day this will be done. I am so grateful to have a job that is so understanding and willing to give me the time needed to make sure everything is taken care of properly. Wish us luck. I am going to take advantage of the time he is sleeping and get some rest myself.

I don't have a picture today, but I realized that more people look at my blog then I thought, which means that I need to update more often. It was a beautiful weekend and I think I can speak for all of us when I say bring on the SUN!!
So Here's the update: Lee got into school, we put our house on KSL and believe it or not we sold it. We have to be out by July 1st. It really hasn't hit me yet, I just take it all one day at a time. I have been looking at all of my options, and am trying to find a way to move to Nevada with Lee, but.... it's not looking so good. Breken and I will live with my mom and we will go down to Nevada every weekend. We have a lot of planning and a lot to do in the next 3 months. I will try and keep everyone posted. Have a terrific Tuesday!

The picture below is pretty random. He pulls himself up all the time on furniture, but for some reason he was so proud of himself this time ( the 257th time) I couldn't help but laugh and take a picture it was too funny. I guess it's one of those, you had to be there and you have to be a mom, kinda things. :)
NO MORE BINKI!! I finally had the guts to take away the binki. He only used it to put him to sleep, but no more. I think I was more nervous than he was. He is doing just fine. I guess I'm one of the lucky ones. Our first nap without the binki was a little rough, but that's all it took. It hasn't even phased him. Thank goodness!

Breken loves his candy, but when it comes down to it he'll feed the dog any day, and anything! Rieley knows that he can get whatever he wants from this kid. And he takes advantage of it too. The dog now goes outside when we eat so he doesn't eat off of Brekens plate or hands, The two of them are one heck of team.
