Weekend Adventure

This weekend we went to our cabin. My family couldn't use it so Lee and I took advantage of it and headed up there. Breken always has 10 times the amount of fun when his best friend/cousin Jack comes along. Considering Jack's mom Jory just had a baby I didn't think she would mind if i stole Jack for the weekend, and that's exactly what I did. We had so much fun! The boys played and played and played. We saw a mama moose with her baby, tons of deer and we played lots of games. Breken had a blast and i think Jack did too. It was a nice get away weekend with the boys and I can't wait to do it again.

Update

Breken is doing so well. That first day after his surgery was rough, which is what was expected. After that day he has been a completely different kid. He is happy, and talks and talks and talks, His nose has stopped running he over all feels 10x better!
Lee took his national test on Wednesday and he PASSED!! hooray! Not only that we also found out that he got accepted into Georgetown University for his masters. He will be attending their Family Nurse Practitioner program. It's 18 months long and it starts on Halloween day. And the best part is that he can attend class via web. they will set up all of his clinical rotations here, so we don't have to go anywhere. He will have to attend the the university 3 times for about 4 days throughout the program. You don't have to ask me twice to go to Washington DC, I am looking forward to go along with him one of the times. I am so proud of how hard he has worked and we couldn't be more excited for this next journey in our life.

Breken Update

Today my little man went in for surgery. Nothing major. They removed the old tubes in his ears replaced them with new ones and took out his adnedoids. The doctor said his hearing and speech will improve immedietly. And his nose that was constantly running like Niagra falls, that I was told so many times " just allergies" will now stop running. His adnedoids were very very infected, one of the worst the doctor has seen. So.... a few more days of not feeling well and he will no longer hear everything as if it were under water and no more constant sinus infection, no more pressure. HOORAY!!!

In the mist of all of this. My sweet sister-in-law Jory had her 2nd baby last night. We welcome cute, sweet, little baby Gwen to the Hamilton family. 7 lbs and 19" long.
The past few weeks we spent some time at the cabin. We went down the alpine slide and the coster while we were up at the cabin, and Breken had a Blast! It makes me even more excited for upcoming trip to Disneyland the end of September

Update

There is a reason I haven't updated our blog in the last two weeks.

Two week ago the company I worked for, for almost 7 years, closed its doors. I can't even begin to describe how wonderful the last 7 years have been. The owners that I worked for are the most amazing people in the world, I learned so much from them and I am so thankful to have a great relationship with them, still today.

I chose not to post the news on our blog or my facebook, because even though it wasn't my fault I still felt a little embarrassed. Needless to say I didn't waste anytime. I sent my resume out to quite a few places, landed quite a few interviews, and excepted a job earlier this week.

I am now being trained and working as a paralegal for a law firm 60 seconds away from my home. I am really enjoying it so far, and my coworkers are doing their best to not make me feel too much like the new girl on the block.

Breken is doing ok. He was complaining about his ear hurting, so I took him to the doctor, and the tube in his left ear is stuck behind his ear drum. We are currently giving him ear drops twice a day hoping that will help loosen up the tube. If not it's off to surgery. We're crossing our fingers.

Lee is doing great! He passed his state exam with flying colors. He landed a job at a facility that he did a clinical rotation, and he is so excited. Now he just needs his license.

So that's what has happened in the Hamilton house. All in all everything is fine!

Happy Birthday Breken

Monday was Brekens Birthday. And to my surprise we got off work extremely early, So I picked Breken up, called our friends Tucka-bug and we went swimming at nana's. Later that night we went to the Mayan for dinner. Breken loved eating in the jungle. It was a great day. Happy Birthday Breken!

Breken's Super Birthday

Today July 11, 2011 Breken turns 3! We had a big super hero birthday party for him yesterday. We all had a blast, even during the rain storm. The spiderman cupcakes were cute, but very messy. Breken loved having his friends and cousins over to swim. Thank you to everyone who came over and made his day a special one!

American Idol

So my mom, her best friend heather, and myself all went to the American Idol concert last night! We totally rocked it! It was so much fun! I have the biggest crush on Scotty (I know he's way too young for me) so I was really looking forward to it. We had a blast! Thanks mom for the fun night it was needed. I love you!
