Well I figured it was time for our 2012 family pictures. My cousin and his wife went to Fotofly and they did a really good job, so I thought I would give it a try. They were fantastic. Breken loved our photographer Tia. It was a flat fee and I received over 60 pictures with the copy right to do whatever I want with them. Just a fair warning I have posted quite a few.

So much has happened!
So much has happened over the last few weeks. For starters Lee and I celebrated our 6 year anniversary. It has been an amazing 6 years and I couldn't have asked for a better person to spend it with. I look forward to our future and I will always look back at all the good and hard times we've had, we wouldn't be where we are today without that. I am thankful everyday for the love of my life.
Lee started his new job and he loves it. He works the swing shift 3-11 which means we don't see each other. Ever! Saturday and Sunday mornings, if I'm lucky and if he didn't pick up an extra shift. So looking at the future, April 13th is my last day of work. I have decided to stay home with Breken. I am extremely excited and happy about the decision that we have made. I am also nervous for the transition, for both myself and Breken.
We have decided to to take a vacation to Disneyland the beginning of May. We can't wait. We knew that our Disneyland experience would not reach its fullest potential with just the three of us. So we begged, and begged, and talked Chet, Jory and Jack (Brekens best friend in the whole world) to go. Chet and Jory are leaving Gwen at home and the 6 of us are going to run around like little kids for 4 days in Disneyland. I can not tell you how excited all of us are! I wish we were going right now, but have the fun is the waiting and the anticipation. Jory and the kids have been coming over at least once a week, we eat dinner and then create fun Disney games and countdown chains. We have been having so much fun!

Happy Leap Day!
It's no secret we have had a hard couple of weeks. Valentines day I miscarried. Which made it a little difficult to do anything fun with Breken on that day. We still managed to make some heart cookies that weekend but that was about it. I wanted to make it up to him. Yesterday was Leap Day, Jack and Jory came over and we had all sorts of fun things for the boys to play with. Considering that they are too young to understand the full concept of Leap Day, we turned it into "frog day" They painted, colored, and got all sorts of messy. We made green slim (corn starch, baking soda, water, and food coloring) this was probably their favorite thing of all. We also went fishing for frogs in a swamp (toy frogs in dark jello) Jack was a little hesitant at first, but once he dug in he loved it. Breken woke up this morning asking if we could find lizards in Jello tonight. So I think he had fun too.
Jack and Breken are the best of friends. They have so much fun together, and I love watching them grow up with each other.

Everything happens for a reason
3 weeks ago I went into the doctor because I was cramping. We had an ultrasound done and we got to see a heart beat and everything looked perfect. Wednesday night I started spotting very little and then it stopped. They wanted to to another ultrasound. Lee and I went in yesterday at 3:45. We had a student doing the ultrasound, which I am totally ok with, but 45 min went by and she didn't say a single word. She grabbed a tech guy, and he was pretty cold as well. I asked in a joking matter " there is a baby still right?" his response was that he couldn't tell me anything.
That's nice, I thought to myself. As we were beginning to leave both the student and the tech came in. The student had been crying, I knew I was not going to get good news. The tech said, " I noticed that you had an ultrasound 3 weeks ago and the baby had a heart beat, however, at this time we can not find a heart beat or a fetus, this is all I can tell you at this time, it is too late for the results to be sent to your doctor you should hear back in 24 to 48 hours." and he walked away.
Now what.....I just leave. So what happened within the last 3 weeks, did my body just absorb the fetus? how does it just dissolve? I find myself with a lot of unanswered questions. I am sad, I am frustrated, and I am angry. What could I have done differently? I walked, I ate the right foods, I was drinking tons of water, I even cut out almost all my caffeine (for those of you who don't know, I love my caffeine.)
All I know is that everything happens for a reason. Even if I don't understand why or how. Thank you for all the love and support.
PS. The same day this happened Lee got a really good job up at the UofU!! I am so proud and happy for him.

Oh Boy......or Girl?
Bring on 2012!
It's time that Breken becomes a big brother come early September. We are all very excited, but I must say that I am also a little terrified to have 2 kids on my hands. It has been 4 years. I find myself asking: do I remember how to take care of a baby? how will Breken handle sharing his mom and dad, and more importantly his nana? Everything works out the way it's suppose to. I plan on staying home after this one comes along, and I couldn't be happier with that decision.
I have been feeling well. I didn't get too sick with Breken, only a little nausea at night. Same goes for this one. knock on wood. It can still hit me any day now. I am a lot more tired come this time around than I remember with Breken, I hope that fades with time.

Merry Christmas and Happy New year!
I am so sad that the holidays are over. But I am looking forward to 2012! Christmas was a blast as expected. Breken asked Santa for 5 red presents, and that is what Santa brought. Our Christmas began at 5:30 because Lee had to work all day :( after we opened our presents (full of costumes, puzzles, and the oh so hard to find, leap pap) Lee went to work and we headed over to my moms, we opened presents and enjoyed each others company. By 9:30 we were at my mother in laws for the most amazing Christmas breakfast ever! I think that it has become a mission of ours to make my mother in law cry every Christmas. My awesome sister in law stole her locket and filled it with pictures of all 9 grand children. It was perfect.
New Years was just as fun. This has become more for the little kids than anything. It's a little difficult to keep kids awake until Midnight. So starting last year we started celebrating New Years when a different time zone celebrates. This year we did Miami. We had Chili Verde, empanadas, chips and salsa, and key lime pie. Breken's best friend/cousin Jack and his family came over and the boys had a blast!
Merry Late Christmas and Happy New Year!

Christmas Lights
With everything that has been going on with Brenda, I can't forget that it is almost Christmas! Lee and I took Breken to the Thanksgiving point lights. He loved it! We had so much. If you haven't been before you should go, it's worth the $8. We continue to watch a Christmas movie every night, and breken sings Christmas songs all day long. I am loving this year with him. He completely understands the concept and it is going to be a blast come Christmas day, even though Lee has to work :(
Happy Holidays!
